The Africana Studies Journal is the oldest student-run journal in a Black/Africana Studies Department.
Formerly the Black Studies Journal, this student run publishing initiative is guided by former Department Chair and Professor of Africana Studies, Dr. Dorothy Randall Tsuruta. To engage with Tsuruta as a literary leader and founding staff of the Black Scholar is one of the many wonderful opportunities that our students and alumni deeply appreciate.
